About.
Terminal was built around the belief that production systems should be designed intentionally rather than assembled from whatever happens to be available. Sound, light, video, architecture, and environment — parts of one coherent experience.
A room that moves air correctly is a room that disappears. The equipment recedes, the operator recedes — and what remains is the music, delivered with the fidelity it was written in.
Terminal is an experimental audio house in Wichita, Kansas. We apply one philosophy to both temporary productions and permanent installations — every element exists to serve the experience, and nothing that compromises that is permitted in the room.
Four commitments
we don't negotiate.
Every deployment begins with intention.
We start with the space, the music, and the audience — not the inventory. The deployment is designed before a single cabinet is loaded.
Every detail exists for a reason.
Cable paths, rigging hardware, fill alignment, power load, time alignment. Nothing is improvised. The details are the product.
Equipment and operation are inseparable.
Our systems ship with the engineers who designed them. We do not separate the two. They are the same thing.
We bring complete production.
Sound systems, power, engineers, crew, transportation, setup, operation, and strike. We are not a dry-hire rental company.
